The rules regarding gaining points are as follows:
1. Each category has its own point system Since each category will have a different number of competitors the distribution and sum of the points will vary according to category (women and teams will probably have more points). Example: Marko wins in T category, there are 75 men after him and he gets 200 points. Mojca also wins and gets 200 point but only beats 6 women.
2. The competitors and teams that have the same final time get the same amount of points. Example: Janez and Jože win in ET, Miha is third. The winners get 200 point each, Miha gets 150 points.
3. The team category distribution of points is the same. Each member of the team automatically competes also in the individual category. Example: Team Luna (Jure and Tina) win the team category with timing X. They get 200 poins in team category each. With his time X, Jure is in15th place in TM category and gets 80 points, and with the same time X Tina is in 3rd place in TW category and gets 150 point.
4. The disqualified competitors (quitting, not staying within the time limit for check-points) do not receive points. If one member of the team is disqualified, the other is automatically transferred to the individual category. Example: Team Sonce (Marko in Metka) is disqualified, because Marko does not make it to the finish line, but Metka is in 8th place. The Team gets no points, Marko gets no points in TM category, but Metka gets 56 points in TW category. |
